Grace and Jakob gave me the honor of being their Arts Ballroom wedding officiant for their beautiful ceremony in early June. I meet many couples, and their family and friends, throughout a given year. Sometimes a group will stand out for one reason or another. This group stood out to me for something I think the world could use more of: kindness.
I am pretty good at reading people, especially when looking into their eyes. Eyes are truly the windows to the soul, and both Grace and Jakob exude a kindness I wish more people could know. Their friends and family were just as wonderful. I was about ready to go full Lenny with the rabbits on every one of them.
The Arts Ballroom is extraordinary, and made for a perfect setting to celebrate the beautiful love Grace and Jakob share. Grace made an unforgettable entrance, descending the stunning staircase on her way to the man soon to become her husband. Their ceremony, which was part of their "The Perfect Fit" package, was tailor-made to tell their story and celebrate their love. It included a lovely reading entitled Union by Robert Fulghum.
