I had such a good time being the Northampton Valley CC wedding officiant for Priscilla and Eric's wedding. They had a lovely and heartfelt ceremony in Richboro, PA that paid tribute to their spiritual beliefs while celebrating the joyful love that they share, with just the right amount of light-hearted humor combined with reverence. I especially enjoyed chatting up their family (Eric's family came up from Texas, where I was raised) and enjoying the rare opportunity to infuse some Sicilian phrases into their ceremony. My favorite one was "A casa senza amuri è comu un jardinu senza fiori" which means "A house without love is like a garden without flowers."
Priscilla and Eric also infused family wisdom into their ceremony, inviting their grandmother up to share her advice on being married for 56 years, with a love and strength that has shaped the very heart of their family. It was a beautiful ceremony, and I am so very honored to have been a small part of providing them with an excellent wedding day experience! Joking around with Priscilla before the ceremony began, helping her to remain calm amid the chaos of weather challenges and just the normal cacophony of most wedding days, was additional fun. I always like sharing my silly Dad jokes with my couples and helping them laugh before their ceremony!
