I was thrilled to have a new experience, at nearly my five hundredth wedding, which happened as I was performing officiant services at the beautiful Philadelphia Country Club for Rasa and John: I wasn't the tallest person at the altar! John played basketball in college, and his entire family is tall. I actually felt normal for once. It was refreshing, to say the least. John's bride Rasa looked gorgeous, and several members of her family traveled from Europe to attend the ceremony, held at the Philadelphia Country Club's Shooting Cabin. The cabin was decorated beautifully, and the ceremony and following celebration was photographed by Chris, a member of our own Chadwick Weddings team.
Everyone watched the weather radar as the moment for the ceremony approached. We were all a little worried that the intermittent storms would force the ceremony inside, but at the very last minute, the rain stopped just long enough for Rasa and John to tie the knot in front of a beautiful natural backdrop. Normally I can look peripherally at my text while addressing the couple, so it was a little surreal for me to sometimes have to look up from my binder, rather than down. But, the ceremony went beautifully and I am thrilled to say that Rasa and John are now married!
